| DOUBLE DONNIE
DIP- UNKNOWN PARENTAGE -J. Carpenter- (26"-MRe-5"-Dor.)
This seedling has been an outstanding performer for the last five years.
Its consistency in performance and doubling characteristics as well as its
beautiful accent as a garden flower are two reasons, alone, that make it
deserve a place in the landscape. I suspect that it has in its ancestral
lineage the lovely cultivar called DOUBLE CUTIE, which graced this garden
until visitors left us without any more stock. DOUBLE DONNIE is a soft cream yellow self in color with a
small green throat. The blossoms resemble a stacked combination of one
blossom inset into the other, thereby producing the doubling effect. The
flowers are quite consistent in their doubling behavior. This dormant
cultivar increases well here and puts on a real show in clump strength. $50.00
