(Ever So Ruffled x Kathleen Salter) (27"-EMRe-6"-EV.) Again we apologize for having missed this one in our picture taking. This tet is a sibling with POLYNESIAN LOVE SONG. It is not so fully overlapped as many of my newer things, but it is truly a flower of brilliantly glowing, clear, rich yellow(not cream yellow) that makes a show when established a couple of years. The round, flat, nicely ruffled flowers have green throats and are of the heaviest substance. TEXAS ESMERALDA is producing some beautiful seedlings as shown in the 1997 SEEDLING PIC section of this website (see pic #s 97P 18T and 97P 57T). The cultivar is easily fertile both ways. This one should do well in the warmer areas as it has done well here in this hottest of summers and in San Antonio too. It has frozen down completely some winters but, with no mulch, has always come back and bloomed beautifully. |
