MARY ELKINS-dip

(22"-EMRe-6"-Dor) The registration of this lily shows 6", but blooms are almost consistent 7" in diameter early on in the bloom cycle. The form is widespread flat and flaring. Color tones are similar to MARY JANE CARPENTER with more diamond dusting. The flower color is a white cream with intense green radiating outward into the petals from the throat. A slight blushing of pink appears on petals and sepals with elusive yellow tinges in the pleated ruffled edges of the petals. The beauty is enhanced by strong corduroy radiating outward onto the petals and sepals. Two lateral branches and forked top branching provide good bud count and display flowers well. This cultivar has tremendous holding power in full sun and is a real standout. Fertile both ways and should be good in the north due to dormancy. Repeats. MARY ELKINS is a real winner.
