26"-MRe-8.5"-Ev. With flowers as large as 9"
this cultivar
is the most massive in size of any I have ever produced. First, second,
and third blooms are
largest as in most lilies. The very blunt, rounded sepals measure a
full three inches in diameter and petals as much as four and one half
inches. The throat of this apricot-gold colored flower is
green. TEXAS WHOPPER STOPPER has very heavy substance with that velvety
feel. If
yard presence and noticeability are important, then this cultivar ranks
a ten. This one has caused
much favorable comment and excitement in the garden. Pod and pollen
fertile. It was
sold out this fall and there may be a few for fall '99. A conversion
has been made.$150.00
