on the scene
of red daylilies. For the greater part reds have been smaller and have
had all too narrow
sepals that were often pointed. ROSE RED RUFFLES is beginning to bridge
that gap with
its full, flat form and round blunt ended sepals. Along with these good
qualities its substance
is outstanding and holds well in the sun. The color is a clear rose
red. Scapes are branced and
have twenty or more buds, and the cultivar is a consistent repeater.
Fertile both ways.
A conversion has been
made.
