SCULPTURED CORDUROY

TET – (MOST NOBLE X UNKNOWN) –J. Carpenter – (20”-EMRe-6”-Dor.) – A few years ago one of the traits that started showing up in some cultivars was the deeper corduroy or ridges radiating out of the throat in the midrib area and often fanning out into interesting patterns onto the petals. SCULPTURED CORDUROY is one example of a cultivar having that sculpted characteristic. The flat faced blooms are large with little recurve and the faces are given distinction by the patterned sculpting far out into the petals. The pod and pollen fertile cultivar does pass this characteristic on to seedlings some of which will be registered. Scapes have four to five branches and 23 to 25 buds.
