This huge flat-faced flower retains the widespread flat open-faced form throughout its bloom period. Its part in imparting the broad wide blunt sepals and flat-faced form has been enormous in my program with tets. From my perspective this is a breeder’s lily for wide blunt sepals and very large flat, wide-open blooms with slight recurve, and at the same time it has great appeal as a garden flower. MOUNT HERMAN MARVEL has beginning blooms that are generally 8” and just beautiful. Blooms are still near 7” as the last blooms open. The color is lighter rose pink than what this picture conveys.
